About Us

Taking and sharing photos has become part of our everyday lives. We constantly take photos and create videos, and we instantly upload and share them. And we do it because there's no better way to tell stories.

We created Scrapblog because we wanted to go beyond the ho-hum online slideshow. With Scrapblog, your photos and videos become the stars of all the stories you want to tell: the great vacation you just took, your kids' most excellent adventures, your best friend's wedding, or just a day in the park with family. And we know that not everybody's a computer whiz or a design star, so we made it super easy to use. Drag and drop to create, share with one click - you get the picture.

  • Renee Pearson

Renee Pearson is a writer and digital designer with an extensive background in brand marketing and commercial design.

While Renee originally became involved with scrapbooking as a hobby, a way to have fun with all the photos that had been piling up in boxes over the years, her hobby quickly led to a new career opportunity.

Renee is now an established authority in the digital scrapbooking world. She’s a former Contributing Editor to Simple Scrapbooks magazine and Associate Editor at Digital Scrapbooking magazine, where she wrote the popular Design Wisecolumn. Her first book, Digital Designs for Scrapbooking broke new ground and introduced scores of paper scrapbookers to the world of digital design. That book’s sequel, Digital Designs for Scrapbooking 2: Making Your Own quickly became the “must have” techniques book for aspiring digital designers.

Renee’s passion, however, is sharing her knowledge and expertise with others in the industry she has now embraced. As both a teacher and guest speaker, her “hobby” has taken her to South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and many points between. She also appears as guest host on the TV show, Scrapbook Memories.

Renee continues to make an impact in the scrapbooking world. She serves on the Scrapblog Advisory Board and is a member of the Wacom Pen Scrappers team. Her latest venture is reneepearson.com where she teaches and manages an online training center for digital crafters and artists.

Renee is frequently asked what she sees as the future for digital scrapbooking. Her answer is always the same:

“The future is bright! I see more and more crafters and artists discovering and embracing the creative possibilities of digital tools. I believe this can only enrich the many ways we chronicle our life memories.”
