Terms and Conditions


No purchase necessary. Participation constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules. This Contest begins at 12 a.m. E.S.T. on June 8, 2007 and ends at 11:59 p.m. E.S.T. July 16, 2007.


Eligibility

The Contest is open to legal residents of the continental United States & Canada, as well as to participants who reside outside the United States, who are at least 18 years old and who have a computer with a working Internet connection. Employees of Scrapblog, Inc. and their affiliates, related parties and immediate family are not eligible to enter this Contest. Contest void where prohibited by law and subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations.

To Enter

No purchase necessary. Please read all of the following information in its entirety. To enter the Contest, the following steps must be completed: (1) visit blogher.scrapblog.com or www.scrapblog.com, (2) create a scrapblog, (3) publish it for everyone to see and (4) tag it with the words "blogher07" . The following are the details on how to complete these steps: (a) New Scrapblog users - Go to blogher.scrapblog.com or www.scrapblog.com, and click on "Get Started" to create a scrapblog. When you have finished creating your scrapblog, click on "Publish" and register as a member of www.scrapblog.com by providing the requested information. Be sure to check "Public-Everyone can view your scrapblog" option , as only public scrapblogs are elegible to accumulate entries. Then add "blogher07", under the "Tags" section, along with any other tags. (b) Registered Scrapblog users- Go to blogher.scrapblog.com or www.scrapblog.com, and click on "Create New Scrapblog" to create a scrapblog. When the new scrapblog has been completed, click on "Publish" and complete the requested information. Make sure to check "Public-Everyone can view your scrapblog" option , as only public scrapblogs are elegible to accumulate entries. Then add "blogher07", under the "Tags" section, along with any other tags. Participants who complete the steps described above are automatically entered into the Contest. Once the scrapblog is published, each view will be counted as one (1) entry. The more views a participant's scrapblog has, the more chances the participant has to win. To be eligible to win the grand prize, all entries must be published no later than 11:59 p.m. P.S.T. on July 16, 2007. To be eligible to win any of the weekly prizes, all entries must be published no later than 11:59 p.m. P.S.T. on July 26, 2007. Scrapblog, Inc. is not responsible for tardiness, mechanical errors, computer malfunctions, display viewing problems, faulty transmissions or network errors.


Prizes

1. One (1) grand prize will be awarded, which includes: (a) two (2) roundtrip tickets to Chicago for travel starting on July 27, 2007 and returning on July 29, 2007 to attend the "BlogHer Conference 07"; (b) hotel accomodations for two (2) people, single room, double occupancy, for three (3) days and two (2) nights, and; two (2) tickets to the "BlogHer Conference 07" Conference. The prize is not refundable or transferable. The grand prize's sale value cannot exceed the amount of five thousand dollars ($5, 000.00). The winner and companion shall be at least 18 years old. The arrival and departure times are subject to change. The winner and his/her companion must be available to travel starting on July 27, 2007 and returning on July 29, 2007 and must attend the "BlogHer Conference 07". The winner and his/her companion must have a valid identification to travel. The trip's travel date is not subject to change.

2. Five (5) prizes will be awarded every week for seven (7) weeks: each winner will choose between one (1) scrapblog t-shirt, one (1) scrapblog toddler shirt, or one (1) scrapblog baby onesie.


Prize Structure

Taxes and incidental fees are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. Including all federal, state, and local taxes. All prizes are non-transferable and/or not assignable and/or cannot be exchanged for its cash value. Scrapblog, Inc. will Winner will be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility, liability release and W-9 tax form within 14 days of winning the prize or the prize will be forfeited. By entering the Contest, winner consents without limitation and without receiving additional compensation, to the use of his/her name, voice, photograph, and/or likeness by Scrapblog for advertising purposes on-air or on the internet. Scrapblog permits except no alternative prize or other substitution in its sole discretion in the event of prize unavailability. The prize will be awarded. Prize is nontransferable. All federal, state, and/or local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.


Winner Selection

The grand prize winner will be selected in a random drawing, conducted on or about July 17, 2007 by Scrapblog, Inc. before a notary public from all eligible entries. The five (5) weekly winners will be selected in a random order beginning on June 15, 2007 and ending on July 27, 2007 by Scrapblog, Inc. before a notary public from all eligible entries. Odds of winning any of the prizes depend on the total number of entries received. The winners will be notified by email and will have seven (7) days to claim the prize, beginning on the date the email was sent. If the prize is not claimed within this timeframe another winner will be chosen. The prize winners will be required to verify address and to execute before a notary public an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release, which must be returned within seven (7) days after notification attempt. Scrapblog, Inc. is not responsible for and shall not be liable for late, lost, misdirected, or unsuccessful efforts to notify winners or for any late, lost, or misdirected. Failure of the winner to return the executed affidavits and release forms within the specified time period may result in forfeiture of the prize and selection of an alternate winner from the remaining eligible entries. Prize will not be awarded until all such properly executed and notarized forms are returned. By accepting prize, winners consent to the use of their names, voices and likeness for promotional, advertising and publicity purposes in any and all media worldwide in perpetuity by Scrapblog, Inc. without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.


Conditions

By entering the Contest, it is understood that if you will be automatically registered as a member of www.scrapblog.com. As a result, you may receive additional e-mail communication/promotions from Scrapblog, Inc. as any of their members would. Scrapblog will not sell, rent, transfer or otherwise disclose your personal data to any third party. By entering, participants accept and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges. Participants further agree to release Scrapblog, Inc. their agents and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries and affiliates, and each of their respective agents from any and all liability, loss or damage arising out of their participation in the Contest or with respect to the awarding, receipt, possession, use or misuse of any prize. Scrapblog, Inc. and its agencies assume no responsibility for lost, misdirected, or late entries or by any human or mechanical error, which may occur in the processing of the entries in this Contest. Scrapblog, Inc. reserves the right to cancel Contest or change any element thereof, with or without notice, at any time, due to mistakes in the production of the Contest. Scrapblog, Inc. may prohibit an entrant from participating in the Contest or winning a prize if, in it's sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or Scrapblog, Inc. representatives. If for any reason this Contest is not capable of running as planned, including, but not limited to, conduct of the promotion, then Scrapblog reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEBSITE OR UNDERMIND THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SCRAPBLOG RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY'S FEES) FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.


Waiver

Scrapblog, Inc. and all other entities related to this contest are not to be held liable for any damage or loss, direct or indirect, caused to the winner, relatives or any related person or property related to these, arining from or in connection to the awarding of the prizes. These are not to be held liable either for any defect that the awarded prize may have, as well as for any accidents, claims, losses, theft, damage, injury and/or distress whatsoever caused during its use and/or enjoyment of the same.
