I love your new creation, Karen! Great job layering a variety of elements so beautifully! :D
Lovely 'shadowy background' effects and the actual photos are edited in an interesting way. I'll watch this one progress-as I'm sure it will! Best Wishes!
Thanks stacy lou and cazjane... for the comments & compliments & the *LOVE*... I'll be adding more pages within the coming days... as you've already guessed, cazjane! I've been busy working with colorful scrapblogs in the last week or so... Now, I'm experimenting in the other direction; with something that is a little less colorful! :)
I love the subtle side too Karen! You are such a diverse artist. I am going to send you a sneak peek of some of the new designs.Rebecca
Thanks, Rebecca, for the compliments! I know, I tend to be bold and over the top most of the time (in scrapblogging, that is)! I'm a Gemini, and they say Geminis have a double personality... so you're seeing the other Karen here... and maybe even the "true" Karen!Oooooh! I'd love to see what's coming next! Thanks for offering to give me a sneak peek!Karen
You have created a beautiful Spring in Verse scrapblog Karen,The quotes you have added are very fitting as well and the subtle colours and backgrounds delightful.Congratulations my friend,Peg
Thanks Peg!As you can see, I'm already thinking about spring (it's still winter in the US) and I love to include quotes in scrapblogs whenever I can... the fun of it is finding one that "fits" a page, or starting with a quote and making a page "fit" it! I'm glad you enjoyed it and thanks, as always, for your comments and thanks for the *LOVE*!Take care Peg!Karen
Hello there! This one is getting better all the time! I liked it before and now I 'love it'!Thanks so much for your comment under my 'Picture Book', little_m. I've left you a longish reply there!
It's me again,little_m! I've just found your other comment under my 'Wakehurst Place....'Thanks for loving such an old 'scrapblog'. Again, I've left you a reply under there!
Hello cazjane!Thank you for the *love*!I left you some messages this morning... under your 'Picture Book' and 'Wakehurst Place' scrapblogs. Thanks for taking the time to write to me and thanks for keeping us posted on your father. I'll continue my prayers for you, your family and your father...Take care my friend,Karen
Thanks, little_m- all messages gratefully received! I'll keep on looking by! Best Wishes- cazjane
2nd. Feb.-HAPPY GROUNDHOG'S DAY!There must be a spring verse about that:-'When the light glows longer The cold grows stronger....' or something similar (derived from a Scottish poem, I believe). Blaze could 'stand in' for a groundhog and look for his own shadow!Only joking, little_m this illustrated anthology is fine as it is!Now I'm going to take a look at your 'devilish' one!
Good idea on including Blaze as a groundhog... I'll see if I can't work something like that into this scrapblog. ;)Happy Groundhog's Day to you too! Hope your winter ends very soon!
Hi Karen - I am a gemini too, so I totally understand the dual personality thing! LOL. I love how your style is evolving.
Hi Rebecca!Glad to know someone out there understands where I'm coming from (as in being a Gemini)! On this scrapblog... I can't seem to leave it alone; I'm constantly changing it! I'm still not sure where I want to go with it... I'm hoping that light bulb will go off soon, so I can move on to something else. Maybe I'm going through 'scrapblogger's block' or something? :)
Oh Karen!! I just love this... I love everything about this one... the music is perfect... most excellent.Your Sister,Sharon
PS -- Libra here...
Thanks Sharon!I'm finally happy with the last page! I'm still not completely happy with this one... so you may see a few more changes, as well as another page or two!P.S. Bart's a Libra too!
Beautifully done, Karen, it's always a pleasure to view your scrapblogs :)
Thanks, Alex, your comments always cheer me up!Just to let everyone know... My mind is surprisingly *clear* today! I made a few changes to this scrapblog this morning and now I'm at peace with it, finally! Now, I can get busy and add more pages!
Karen - I get scrappers block all the time. Best to leave it overnight and see if something comes to you. Are you working on anything with the new theme?
Hey Rebecca! That's exactly what I did! I was totally fine by the next day and I made quite a few adjustments and I even incorporated some of the stickers and backgrounds from the new 'A Gift of Love' theme into this scrapblog! The backgrounds fit right in with my "spring" theme!I'll be using the new theme in another scrapblog very soon! I think the new theme is beautiful, by the way!
Why am I changing so many of my scrapblogs? The answer is simple... it's because I'm crazy! ;)
Okay, I had to have a look-- this is great!!! How do you do all of this????? I was amazed to see like 7 or 8 of your scrapblogs featured on the Explore page tonight! This is probably my last comment before my trip!!Take care, Love,Susie
