i always wanted to see this movie. you did a great scrapblog!
Melissa, thanks so much for the comment! I'm glad you like the scrapblog. I just changed the background on page 2.... Much better now. See what you think! And the movie is a sweet one. I could listen to the music all day.
first - thanks for the nice comment on my layout. this is awesome (i'll have to rent this movie now) - your work is beautiful - love all the beach shots
Very nice!
Freddie Highmore, such an amazing young man. And when August first discovers the guitar and all he can do with it...so moving.
Thanks for visiting MIB. I have made several scrapblogs during the school, but I think I have made an equal amount in just the few weeks we have been out for the summer. I make a point to scrap as soon as I have pictures otherwise they get lost in the digital shuffle or I lose the sentiment behind the picture. Sometimes I would start one on my lunch break (20 min.) and continue when I got home. Generally speaking during the school year I only get Tuesdays and Fridays to do anything fun aside from the weekends which I spend with my family.
I agree with all you said about the amazing Freddie Highmore, and Jonathan Rhys Meyers performed all of his own music during the film. That's even Robin Williams on harmonica in the opening scene. Isn't it a great movie? Thanks for all the comments ellynarm, Chilypepah, and MommyV.... The movie itself was definitely my inspiration.
You know, the net mat have many *bad sides*...but there is one or two, the one that brings alike people closer, even being in diferent continents, the one that allow us to exchange thoughts and info, the one that empowers our voice, which is the one that will make the world for our children a much better one....and that one I can feel here, strong and going.I had never heard of this movie. I m gonna go to Imdb and have a look, we wanna watch it now!!!Brilliant Scrapblog you did with it too! Thanks for sharing :)glitter-graphics.com
My husband just watched this movie last week and he had nothing but good things to say about it! I still haven't seen it, but I plan on watching it soon! This is a wonderful submission for the challenge! Great design, wonderful color and it seems as though you picked a perfect movie as your favorite! Can't wait to see this movie!!! :)
This is my ALL time favorite movie! I first saw it on a plane when Carlos and I were traveling and I was so moved I was crying and I couldn't sit still. I wanted to burst into song or play the piano, but I was just stuck on that darn plane! LOL I love the little girl too in the church choir - her voice still gets me. Wonderful MOVIE!!!Rebecca
I appreciate all the comments! MrsPeel, I replied to your message on one of your pages.... Everyone, have a great day!
What a wonderful scrapbook. I didn't know this movie, and will look for it here.
Excellent choice for a movie that I have not seen yet but will be on the list. Films with and about music are always of great interest; so are any films about artistic expression.Great composition!
I really like this scrapblog, you did a good job on it! plus i love the movie... So i have a ? for you, i was reading like the discussions abou this challenge and people were talking about copyright issues so i was wondering if you just got these images off the internet or wat... thanks, the scrapblogs really cool :)
i saw your scrapblog and went and borrowed it out and i love it!!!! great scrapblog! and can you believe that its actually the actors playing the instruments!!!
wasn't that a great movie...nice idea for remembering it.
My mother and I just watched this movie together yesterday and we both enjoyed it! A sweet story and I love your scrapblog on it!
Hi Roban, Hope all is well! This is great, you did a wonderful job on it. I liked this movie too! I wish they had shown more at the end though. When it ended I was like "nooooo... that can't be the end". Robin Williams was creepy in it though- I guess that is what makes him a great actor! :) Hope work isn't keeping you too busy. I'm ready to quit! :)
It's so nice to hear from you Roban. The beginning and end of the year seem to be the busiest. Even though the year is pretty busy in itself. I hope you get some time off to breathe and catch up. I'm glad the kids are respectful, sometimes I think that has gone by the wayside. Quitting is always on my mind and definitely wishful thinking!!! :) Thanks for visiting and catching up with me. You have a wonderful stress free paperwork free week! LOL, I dont' know if that is possible. Be well. Lucy

Great SB Roban, even though I never saw this movie, you portrayed it very well! I wasn't notified of any new SBs from you, so I was just stopping by to thank you for all your comments on my SBs! I appreciate them! I tried leaving you a comment on some of your other SBs & it wouldn't let me post it at all! I was also trying to notify all my friends that I will not be creating any new SBs til after the holidays but will be checking out my friends work & leaving comments & support! I hope you have a wonderful holiday season! Love ya!♥ Sherry
This August Rush scrapblog is wonderful, you have a great deal of talent my friend.I just watched the preview you have added at the end, and I am sure I will love this movie when I get to see it.....you know my motto, music warms the soul.On another subject...Roban you certainly live up to your pseudonym 'flygirl'...nearly 500 jumps....I am impressed!I hope your dream of 'streaking across the sky again' becomes a reality.HugsPeggy
Now I have a problem... to save $$ I have imposed a DVD rental ban on the rest of our holidays because we own so many DVD's we never watch... I either have to be the one to break my own rule or I have to wait to see this movie. Thanks for pointing me to this one.
