So here's the back story. 6 of 8 was having her 5 year old birthday party with her little friend. I wanted to do something special and got inspired by Rebecca's layering page with the fairies. I tried to think ahead on what story I might want to tell and what Scrapblog stickers props and backgrounds I would want to shoot around. A little cropping here, a little cropping there and voila (okay--well, like a million hours later--)Anyway, I hope to have this printed up into photobook form for 6 of 8 and her friend as a remembrance of this very special birthday!Blessings!Octamom
Oh, forgot to mention--I added some duplicates of some of the slides so that if you are viewing it in auto mode, you have time to read all the text. Also be sure and look for those pesky Creepy Cake Takers--they are hiding on many of the pages!

WOW!!!!!!! You are one huge talent, Octamom! This is spectacular and very, very creative!!!!!!! I'd love it 100 times, if I could! You'd better start looking for a book publisher, because I think this one will become a best seller!!!!P.S. I love so many pages in this one, for different reasons, but I really love the way the creepy cake takers look on page 7... they're sort of spooky and funny at the same time! :) Karen

Truly amazing!
this is very clever love it! how old are all your children?
I loved it!! I was wondering where you might have a photobook created? I have tried one site and didn't like the results, so I didn't have it printed.
This is so so so so cute! Yes, I suspected you spent milions of hours! i'm so glad you explained the extra pages AND gave some of us a clue to look for the Creepy Cake Takers on the pages - I had fun going back and finding them! This must have been a ton of fun for the kids too! Very creative - hooray for you1
Octamom, is your computer by chance an Apple?
I love this scrapblog. It is so beautiful and creative. I think I am getting more creative as I go, but WOW. How do you do it with 8 children?! I also checked out your blog, love it! Keep up the great work!
I just loved this. I have been dabbling in the scrapblogging and having fun, but you have inspired me to dig deeper into the well of creativity. As the mom of 7, none of which are multiples, I understand how finding the time for this can be a challenge. It's a beautiful keepsake and worth the time and effort. I'll be checking out your website/blog too - maybe we're kindred spirits? ;)
Actually, the only reason I was asking about Mac was that they have book capability so easily. I'm hoping that Scrapblog will sooner (rather than later) get their printing options out - it could be fun! I'm glad you intend to print this as a keepsake for the girls. It's SO awesome!
Hi Octamom, Actually, I have 2 suggestions. First, look at the sizes of Apple books:http://www.apple.com/ilife/iphoto/printproducts.htmlMany of them allow you to add text - although the text is already on your scrapblog. Yes , you could send the jpgs to a friend - just be sure and send them the highest resolution. Also - another option - not sure what kind of printer you have. I print my scrapblogs at home on my Epson printer (could let you know the model # if you are interested). Then, I take them to Office Max and have a clear sheet put on the front and a black (or white) heavy piece of paper put on the bck (as a back cover). Then, I have it spiral bound - in either black or white - whichever goes with the color of the front page. It's the coil spiral binding. The only downside is that since it's printed on an ink jet, it could run if it became well. But these books have worked very well for me - I've given them as gifts as well as printing them for myself.Hope this helps - and hope I didn't lose you along the way in the explanation.
Thanks so much for the apple info--and I love the Office Max idea--I had been thinking about home printing and then having it laminated and bound as that would preserve the ink from little hands. I also know that Costco does photo books and another online company called Photobooks (I think...need to check on that)--but I, like you, am looking forward to Scrapblogs services and would prefer to support them as a business--hopefully soon! Thanks again for the info!Blessings!
I LOVE your scrapblog soooo much! It's so creative and cute!! =]
oh my word - this is fantastic - was it reallly hard to do - I would so love to do something like this for my little monkeysElaine
It just takes time, time, time and time--I had some sickies at the house last week and was spending a lot of time holding babies--but I can still navigate a mouse while I'm holding babies!
it was so lovely and creatively
it's so beautiful! i wish i could scrapbook like this -]
Octomom, I printed a yearbook from scrapblog (sorry it's private because of my students or I'd let you see) on my own printer. If you have a laserjet it would be better than on an inkjet for the reason musicjan said, but also because it sucks your inkjet dry. Your slides are very color saturated. Your best bet is the apple store option that musicjan also mentioned.Okay, enough technical stuff. Your work is always beautiful and this one is just amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Hi! Interesting about the Abilene connection. I went to college there too (many years earlier than you!). To be honest, I haven't "lost anything" in Abilene - but I do have fond memories of my growing up years. My Dad, who is now deceased, was editor of the Abilene Report News for many years. I guess most college students don't read the paper, so you probably never read his stuff. Probably spending so many years in Abilene is why I treasure beach pictures, pictures of wooded areas (like my Little Brook scrapblog), and pictures of seasons. We didn't get many seasons or much water in Abilene! Not many woods either! have a great week!
that was relly cute!
