Just practicing my scrappin' skills with a photo of Sharon's barn! I found a great digital kit by CanDesigns on DigiFree.com... it's called 'Barn Door'. I've used some of the 'Barn Door' elements here as well as elements from Scrapblog's new theme, Autumn Leaves! Hope you enjoy!Karen
These are beautiful. I enjoyed it for sure,As most of your work!
LOVE THE NEW ELEMENTS YOU USED! THE BARN IS PRETTY COOL! WISCONSIN, HAVE BEEN THERE ONCE, THOUGHT THE COUNTRYSIDE WAS GORGEOUS!GWEN:)
Wisconsin is very pretty, isn't it? Lots of rolling hills and farm animals everywhere! :)
Oh- back to the barn! It is such a unique building (well- from my British viewpoint it is certainly unusual!)These new elements make it look very special. The 'Giddy up' page is especially striking! I look forward to more-if you have time and inclination! I like that black cat graphic, too!
I'll definitely add more to my 'Scrappin' the Barn'! I've just asked my sister for more photos, but in the meantime I'll keep scrapping the same one!Karen
Thanks for sending me the cat....it adds beautifully to my 'comments' column!
LOVE HOW YOU DID THIS. JUST BEAUTIFUL KAREN. GREAT JOB AS USUAL.LYN
I love these elements you have used, they are so pretty!great job, thats a nice barn too! Thanks for checking out my Winter Christmas sb card, you always leave awesome comments, so thanks!
Back to my roots! This Scrapblog is very nicely done, with great layouts & graphics.
Love it I am a country girl. Grew up in a farm town and loved to be at my BF's Farms. Practicing or not your SB's are always amazing. You are truly an inspirational artist.
What a beautiful barn and SB.
No problem Karen. It is so good to see that there are still good, down to earth people out there. I live close to Indianapolis now and some people are just plain mean and rude. I was absolutely blown away when I found this site. One it is MUCH cheaper than scrap booking, and the people on here are just awesome. You can really tell those who have a lot of heart. BTW, d you know more about the Scrapblog Pro that is coming out or is out(not sure). I seen it mentioned somewhere but can not seem to find any info on it.
What a beautiful barn.... and your pages are so unique and creative (as usual!). You are always an inspiration. I love to visit your SBs.Roban
Love your pages and is that a barn conversion?. They are really popular in here in England, alot of the celebs are having them.
Hey!Thanks for the comment... No, the barn is a real barn... not a conversion. The barn belongs to my sister. She lives on a few acres has a silo, a barn, a large detached garage with an studio apartment on top of it and a house... oh and a private pond! She's one lucky girl! :)Karen
Hey Karen,Thanks for the 'love'. It means a lot coming from a pro like you. This SB is wonderful. You're right, your sister is super lucky. My Mom was practically raised on a farm in Michigan's thumb. Her family even has a road named after them. It's a wonderful scrap of a good life.
Oh good- more pages when I logged on this morning. I don't think you NEED to practice your scrapblogging skills, little_m (cf. your comment at the top of these comments) you are already one of the best!
Amazing pages. I could look at them for ages. Outstanding layouts.
Thanks for all of the nice comments everyone!I just came across another great digital scrapbooking kit by Cinnamon Designs, which is called Melon Passion... the elements in Cinnamon Designs' kit really match/compliment the elements in the other two kits I've used! Of course, you're seeing lots of Scrapblog in here, too... for a total of four sources! In fact, page 9 is almost ALL Scrapblog, with the exception of two elements... the yellow glittery flower and the string with a bow... those two elements are from Cinnamon Designs. :)Thanks again for your nice comments! :)Karen
Gee Wizz Karen, this is great. I love it and had a chuckle when I saw the "animals",they certainly made the layouts look wonderful...you cleverlady

I bow to you oh mighty queen of scrapblogging! heehee AWESOME!!!!!!!Arlene :-D
Don't old barns have a personality of their own? I always thought it would be neat to go around and start a collection of old barn photos...but never did - same as old churches. You had a lot of neat elements in your SB; great job!Rhonda
Wow, this is spectacular, Karen! I love the textured animals you used, and I can't believe how that barn looks so great with so many different backgrounds and colors!Awesome Scrapblog!

Wow, I love all the layering in these! Perfection. Especially love page 7! Great job all around!
Thank you all so much for your kind comments! As you've probably noticed, I've been using Scrapblog's photo editing feature to slightly change the appearance of the photo on each page. I usually edit the photo to match the overall colors of the elements... this is something I'll do at the very end, just before publishing. How many times can I spin one photo? LOL! Hold on... I think you'll be seeing more soon! :)Karen
Great job. I also love to alter photos. I have been experimenting with the tint feature on scrapblog photo editing feature.

That's really neat! I especially like the layering and all the colors. =)
Hey all!Just got off the phone with my sister, Sharon (this barn belongs to her)... she just told me some cool stories about a barn cat she once had, flocks of turkeys that visit yearly to eat the crab apples on her trees, young ducklings living on her pond, a very funny story about a bear she found in one of her trees, and more... Life is definitely not boring in the country on the farm! :)
Talking of turkeys....I've just read your mouth-watering description of your early Thanksgiving party which you described on nbarnich's page.....so detailed I can almost taste the dishes! It looks like that mad turkey has overdosed on the crab apples and they have turned to cider inside him!
This is beautiful and you have out done yourself again!!! Dorry
This is so neat Karen!! But then, I love the country and have always lived around barns and cows..LOL What a neat old barn your sister has!! Think I'll yodel over this one..ha! Ha!
Wow Who Knew You Could Do So Much With A Barn Very Pretty,
Truly wonderful, all the pages are so pretty ! I can't believe how many different ways you show this barn. It's so clever. Thanks for commenting on and loving my scrapblogs ! It's very encouraging. I really appreciate it. Thanks :-)
I love every page. Wonderful layouts.
Thanks for welcoming me to Scrapblog...I love it so far...just trying to figure things out, but I'm doing okay! Love your sister's barn!
Hi Karen,Very excited... Just purchased wreaths for the windows of the barn... plan to paint the barn all red this year... and I like the idea of planting a magical flower garden around it. We are also going to turn the milk house into a chicken coop, the hayloft is going to become a basketball court with picnic area and a guitar studio in the upper loft area. We have lots of fun plans for the coming year... Hopefully I will follow through and get you some new pics. I did take some, but then couldn't get them off of the camera... sometimes the technology is just too great... I must need a Jitterbug Camera! Love you... your lil sis... Sharon
Oh, great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to see the improvements... be sure to take some photos along the way! You could then to a great before and after scrapblog! :) Love from your big "Sis"
